1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Ace of Trades ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Description of Service
Ace of Trades is a marketplace platform that connects homeowners ("Consumers") with independent contractors ("Contractors"). We do not employ contractors and are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of any work performed.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information during registration. Accounts may not be transferred to another person.
4. Contractor Responsibilities
Contractors are solely responsible for ensuring they hold all required licenses, permits, and insurance required by applicable local, state, and federal law. Ace of Trades does not verify credentials and assumes no liability for unlicensed or uninsured work. By registering as a contractor, you represent that you comply with all applicable legal requirements.
5. Subscriptions & Payments
Contractor access requires a paid subscription or active free trial. Subscriptions are billed in advance and renew automatically unless canceled. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. All payments are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store payment card details.
6. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: post false or misleading information; harass or abuse other users; use the platform for spam or unsolicited commercial communications; attempt to circumvent platform fees; violate any applicable law or regulation.
7. Content Ownership
You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant Ace of Trades a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content on the Platform. You represent that you have rights to all content you post.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of contractor information, the quality of services rendered, or uninterrupted platform availability.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ace of Trades shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Platform or any services obtained through it.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion, with or without notice.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
